The Tuber, in consideration of the privilege of participating in the Fabulous Point Pleasant Atlantic Ocean Innertube Gran Prix and the entry fee of $25.00 paid, does hereby release from all liability and any claims of damage or injury, the Point Pleasant Lions Club which is the organizer of the race. RULES, REGULATIONS & TUBEALIA
The Fabulous Innertube Race is a charity fundraising event run by the Point Pleasant Lions Club. Money collected from Tubers (racers) and sponsors will be donated to various charities. All entrants are requested to obtain a sponsor, who will pay the $25.00 entree fee. Tubers may pay their own entree fee. Sponsors in need of a tuber may request the Lions Club to assign one. Since all money is donated to charity, multiple sponsorships are encouraged, and all sponsorships are a non-refundable donation, even if the race is cancelled due to weather.
ALL TUBERS ARE REQUESTED TO REGISTER AT Jenkinson's on the boardwalk in Point Pleasant Beach. At this time the race numbers will be assigned, and tuber's questions will be answered. ALL TUBERS ARE REQUIRED TO SUPPLY THEIR OWN U.S. COAST GUARD APPROVED LIFE VEST AND AUTOMOBILE TIRE TUBE. Starting at 10am of Tube Race Day.
The tube race will start at 2:30 pm SHARP on Tube Day, SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 16th on Jenkinson's Beach at the head of Water Street right in front of the Atlantic Ocean, Pt. Pleasant Beach, NJ. ALL TUBERS MUST REPORT to the race site IMMEDIATELY following the Tube Race Parade, approximately one half hour before the start of the race. At this time, race officials will check equipment and inflate innertubes. Tubers without a race number will be disqualified.
The start of the tube race will be signaled by cannon fire or other announced signal. Tubers will run from the starting point to the Atlantic Ocean and enter the water in the normal confused tuber fashion. Once in the water, tubers will assume the tubing position (see #5 below) and attempt to complete the race course. GOOD LUCK!
Upon completion of the race, an order of finish number will be handed to tubers who are lucky enough to emerge from the water at the Finish Line! A T-shirt and mug will be given to each tuber when race numbers and order of finish numbers are RETURNED.
ALL TUBERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE TUBE RACE PARADE. The parade will form one hour before it's 1:00 PM starting time in the parking lot in Point Pleasant Railway Station on Arnold Ave. and proceed up Arnold to Ocean and North to Broadway! Be there early!

5. TUBERS RUN TO WATER'S EDGE, PLACE TUBE IN THE WATER AND SIT IN TUBE,
TUBER'S POSITION SITTING IN TUBE & PADDLING BACKWARDS
6. PADDLE OUT AROUND ALL MARKERS AND BACK TO SHORE
7. RUN TO THE FINISH LINE WITH YOUR TUBE
8. RECEIVE A PLACEMENT STICK
9. RETURN NUMBER AND TURN IN PLACEMENT STICK TO RECEIVE YOUR
